Job Description:
This role supports the Water Quality Technician with collection of bacteriological and water samples, analyzing for water chemistry, calibration and maintenance of on-line water quality monitoring equipment. Other tasks include maintaining accurate records of all work performed and data collection using Excel and Word to manage field data, update reports, and generate spreadsheets and graphs. The summer student should be self-reliant with the ability to work independently at times, as well as the ability to work within a regulated protocol environment, following rules and regulations. Additionally, general office duties are required to maintain water quality records. This position may also include some field work with the utility crews.
Job Qualifications: MUST provide a clean driver’s abstract and have Steel Toe Boots. Candidate should be enrolled in either Water Quality Technology programs or other science related field.
